Haptics adds value when the task depends on force, resistance or fine manipulation — surgical technique, assembly, teleoperation. If the task is purely visual, haptics may add cost without benefit. We help judge that early.
3-DOF devices sense position and provide force feedback along three axes of movement. 6-DOF devices also sense and can render feedback on rotation (pitch, roll, yaw), which matters for tasks involving orientation, such as tool manipulation or assembly simulation.
